The Darkness Deepens: Specific prayers

"Some went down to the sea in ships, doing business on the great waters; they saw the deeds of the Lord, His wondrous works in the deep. For he commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. They mounted up to heaven; they went down to the depths; their courage melted away in their evil plight;
they reeled and staggered like drunken men and were at their wits' end. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress. Specific prayers

I realized it may be helpful to give specific prayer requests while we wait. The large hematoma where the subchorionic hemorrhage was could be the reason why the baby is so far behind in development. It is very large and appears to be interfering with the placenta. Please pray it will reabsorb and that the baby will be able to get the nutrients he/she needs to grow. Please pray for the baby's heart to be strengthened and for the baby to grow and be protected from effects of having nutrients cut off. But most of all, please pray for peace no matter what the outcome.

Motherhood is a constant battle against the forces of darkness that not only try to destroy from the inside out of every member of the family but from the outside in. It is labor, hard and furious, but in many ways it is refining. It purges selfishness and strips you down to your bones in desperation to succeed...that none may be lost.

But thanks be to God through Christ Jesus our Lord that we have a God more powerful than that darkness who has in-dwelt us from our Baptisms and will sustains us...moment by moment, day by day.

Christ keep us and Christ keep you and yours.
